    The conference takes place at the Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf hotel in Neuss: Rheinallee 1, 41460 Neuss, Germany.

  • WHEN DOES THE CONFERENCE TAKE PLACE? Open or Close

    TheIJC takes place on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October 2019. The conference starts on Tuesday at 8:30 and ends on Wednesday at 18:00.

  • I MUST APPLY FOR A VISA TO ATTEND A CONFERENCE IN GERMANY. CAN YOU SEND ME AN INVITATION? Open or Close

    ESMA is happy to provide an invitation letter to accompany your visa application after full delegate or exhibitor payment is received. You will receive a PDF file on ESMA letterhead. Your request for a letter of invitation to attend TheIJC does not guarantee you will obtain a visa.

  • HOW CAN I BOOK A ROOM AT THE HOTEL? Open or Close

    A limited number of rooms has been reserved at hotel Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf at a special rate for conference participants. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. After the allocated rooms have been filled, reservations can be made at the alternative hotels in the neighbourhood as mentioned on this page: https://theijc.com/about-event/venue-hotels.     Standard single room is 115 EUR per night incl. breakfast. Standard double room is 130 EUR per night incl. breakfast.

    Open buffet lunches are served on both conference days. A sit-down dinner will be served in the evening of the first conference day.   • WHAT TIME DOES THE NETWORKING DINNER START? Open or Close

    The networking dinner takes place at 19:00-21:00 on Tuesday, 29 October 2019, in TheIJC networking arena.   • HOW CAN I ACCESS THE MOBILE APP? Open or Close

    TheIJC event app which includes i.a. the participant list and a communication tool for all users, will be available to registered attendees in the Apple Store and Google Play. All attendees will receive an e-mail with download instructions few weeks before the conference.

  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY DELEGATE REGISTRATION? Open or Close

    Your delegate registration covers full conference access, incl. three presentation tracks, networking arena, lunches, coffee breaks with refreshments,  networking dinner, mobile app access, as well as conference proceedings sent as PDFs after the event. Upon arrival, you will receive your delegate badge and conference programme booklet at the conference registration desk. 

  • WHERE CAN I FIND THE CONFERENCE PROGRAMME? Open or Close

    TheIJC programme is available at https://theijc.com/event-program. As in any programme that is planned in advance, there may be slight changes in the final schedule.

  • WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND? Open or Close

    Please consult our terms and conditions. Unfortunately, no refunds are possible for cancellations. If you cannot attend TheIJC, you can always send a colleague in your place at no extra charge.   • CAN I RECEIVE A LIST OF CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS? Open or Close

    The list of all TheIJC participants will be included in the conference booklet, as well as in the downloads after the event.

  • CAN I RECEIVE THE CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS? Open or Close

    All TheIJC participants will be receive an e-mail with an evaluation survey after the event. After completing the survey, they will receive another email with a link to download all conference presentations as PDF files. Non-participants can purchase presentation packages via https://esma.com/shop/theijc.

  • HOW CAN I BOOK EXHIBITION SPACE? Open or Close

    Please complete the exhibition space application form at https://theijc.com/exhibition-space-application.   • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Open or Close

    The standard tabletop fee is 2,695 EUR. ESMA members qualify for 500 EUR discount. Academic institutes enjoy the special rate of 695 EUR.

  • WHAT IS THE SIZE OF MY STAND? Open or Close

    All exhibiting companies are provided with a table (152 x 76 cm) covered with white drape, and two chairs. Electricity access is included. The approximate area of the tabletop stand is 4 sqm. For images, please check here our archive.

  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY TABLETOP FEE? Open or Close

    Standard tabletop booking includes full conference access for two exhibitors. An additional conference pass for a speaker depends on the availability of presentation slots. The academic tabletop fee includes access for one person. Upon arrival, you will receive your exhibitor badge and conference programme booklet from the conference registration desk. 

  • CAN I REGISTER MORE EXHIBITORS THAN INCLUDED IN MY TABLETOP FEE? Open or Close

  • HOW CAN I SHIP MY EXHIBITION MATERIALS? Open or Close

    All conference materials must be shipped with DB Schenker. Deliveries from other courier companies will not be accepted by Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf. When your exhibitor registration is completed, all necessary shipment documents and exhibitor instructions are sent by e-mail to the exhibiting company, to the responsible person that was appointed in the original application form.   • WHEN CAN I BUILD UP MY TABLETOP STAND? Open or Close

    The build-up is scheduled for 16:00-21:00 on Monday 28 October 2019 and 7:00-8:30 on Tuesday 29 October 2019. The breakdown of your exhibition stand is possible from 18:00 on Wednesday 30 October 2019. Please mind the breakdown time and don't remove your exhibits before 18:00.

  • HOW CAN I SUBMIT MY PRESENTATION ABSTRACT? Open or Close

    The deadline for abstract submission is 30 April 2019. Presentation slots may still be available after that date. You will receive direct feedback whether or not the presentation can be included in the programme.

  • WHAT SHOULD BE MY PRESENTATION TOPIC? Open or Close

    An extensive list of suggested presentation topics is included in the official call for papers. Please note that the presentation must be technical and educational in nature – overtly commercial or sales and marketing orientated submissions cannot be included in the conference programme. All abstracts submitted by academic centres will be reviewed for approval by TheIJC Scientific Board.

  • CAN I DELIVER A PRESENTATION WITHOUT BOOKING AN EXHIBITION STAND? Open or Close

    All presentations must be supported by a tabletop booking. Discounts for academic research centres apply.

  • DO THE SPEAKERS NEED TO REGISTER SEPARATELY? Open or Close

    No, speaker registration is included in the exhibitor tabletop booking.

  • IS THERE FUNDING AVAILABLE? Open or Close

    Unfortunately, we are unable to cover any travel, accommodation or registration expenses. Significant discounts are however offered to academic research centres.

  • WHAT IS THE PRESENTATION FORMAT? Open or Close

    The presentation shouldn’t exceed 25 minutes leaving ample time for a short Q&A round. The PowerPoint template as well as further presentation guidelines and deadline for submission of the final presentation files are sent to all confirmed speakers approximately one month before the conference.
